Sheet Metal Fabricator
Precision Design & Mfg is looking for a well-organized, experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our growing team. We want someone that is a team player and has excellent oral communication skills.
Duties:
-
Sheet metal fabrication using bending and shearing equipment
-
Programming of computerized brake and shear.
-
Welding, solder and other joining of sheet metal components into finished products.
-
Installation of sheet metal components into building.
-
Design of sheet metal components to meet minimum performance requirements.
Skills Required
-
Ability to identify and know how to work with different types of metals.
-
Ability to use hand tools including tape measure and sheet metal gauge micrometer.
-
Ability to program and use a computerized brake and sheet metal shear.
-
Ability to use manual sheet metal brakes including portable brake and finger brake.
-
Ability to weld, solder or otherwise join metal components.
-
Ability to use power tools including hand shear and portable drill.
-
Ability to cut and fit sheet metal components on project sites.
-
Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Education & Experience
-
Sheet Metal Worker Certification an Asset
Steel-toed safety boots are Required and not supplied.

Sheet Metal Engineer
Precision Design & Mfg. is looking for a Sheet Metal Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. We would like someone that has the ability to prioritize and work on multiple assignments, be professional, punctual, organized and detailed orientated.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution of a broad range of manufacturing projects of custom manufactured parts and equipment to customer specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the customer’s requirements:
-
Fabrication detailing, weld joint geometry, welding symbols.
-
Machining details & symbols, surface finish, etc.
-
Geometric Tolerancing
-
CAD experience, 3+ years:
-
AutoCAD, Inventor, Catia, Pro/E (Assets)
-
CNC programming (Asset)
-
Solid modelling, shop detail drawings, importing various formats, assemblies.
-
Understanding of fabrication & welding processes (AWS, CWB & ASME)
-
Understanding of machining, conventional and CNC
-
MS Office proficient; Word, Excel, Outlook
-
solid modeling software experience
Assets:
-
Professional accreditation in an engineering discipline
-
Knowledge of metallurgy and types of materials
-
Relevant trade certification, Red Seal (i.e., fabrication or machining)
QUALIFICATIONS:
College/University graduate in an Engineering discipline.
